Cali Consultants Brunch Series
For California Consultants of Color
A time for California consultants of color to debrief, divulge, delegate, and/or draw upon the energies and insights of the group.
Mer launched this series in May 2020! Please share this with the consultants and allies of color in your ecosystem, especially those involved in social justice and grassroots community and advocacy projects in California.
Who are consultants?
Entrepreneurs and small business owners that primarily offer services as an external advisor, consulting on matters that require their specific expertise and toolkit.
Who are consultant allies?
Professionals and leaders who contract with consultants or support them in other ways (e.g. mentors, coaches)!
Why professionals of color?
There are plenty of associations and affinity groups for consultants, but few focused on womxn and mxn of color. To craft a safe space and encourage authenticity (also known as keeping it real), these specific brunches are tailored to individuals who identify with a disadvantaged and/or disenfranchised gender, race, ethnicity or [insert intersectionality here]. Rather than list examples, we trust your judgment.
There's so much going on and many of us have ideas on how to serve our communities, and we just need the thought-partnership or collaboration to go from idea to action. At the same time, perhaps you've been working all week and you also don't want to prep a PowerPoint or proposal, you just want to blah blah what's in your heart. Well, my friends, this is your chance!

Why are they Brunches?
They're called "brunches" because Mer fully intends on enjoying a mimosa and a snack while casually facilitating the session. Our 1-1/2 hour agenda will be flexible and fluid to make space for:
Please sign up for one or multiple brunches! When you register, you'll be asked if you want some tips for brunch, like my fav vegetarian recipes or brunch cocktails. There's even a "Treat Yo Self" add-on if you'd like us to treat you by designing and ordering your brunch so you don't have to lift a finger. Oh, and we can support local restaurants too while responsibly practicing social distancing. I look forward to brunching with you! <3 Mer |
